What Guests Are Saying

Spring Cove Campground offers a beautiful, secluded setting with easy access to Bass Lake, making it a popular choice for families and groups. Visitors appreciated the friendly and helpful camp host, clean facilities, and the peaceful atmosphere, particularly at more remote sites. However, some guests expressed disappointment over the availability and cleanliness of porta potties due to plumbing issues, and the campground's noise level can vary, especially during busy holiday weekends.

Stayed at site 14 one night and I loved the location. Host was very helpful and checked sites well before checkin. Clean campground. Also moved to site 34 for next 2 nights and was able to checkin with host instead of driving out to office. Very satisfied and I will be back!!

Great campground but would be made better with some lights in the restrooms and showers on site, especially considering it has flush toilets.

Poor customer service from the attendee on site. The day use area is terribly filled with logs and sticks. Not suitable for smaller children. Will not be returning to this area.

We loved our experience at Spring Cove. The bathrooms were especially clean and the camp hosts were direct and respectful. Nothing beats the location and having the camp grounds near the lake. However, if you plan to have more than 6 people at your campsite do not reserve at Spring Cove, they had zero tolerance for more than 6 people on a site. The mention of a 7th or 8th guest made the Ranger (at Bass Lake Recreation Office) explode in anger, she responded very inappropriately. Needless to mention, the bulk of our “guests” were kids under the age of 5 years old. Regardless of the Ranger’s rage, we were never bothered or kicked out from our campsite. I still recommend booking at a site that allows for large parties to camp together to avoid the headache of check in... or better yet, lie about how many guest you will have at your site.

Walking distance to lake. If you want to walk book in sites 1-6. Any other sites are an quite an incline and if any disabled or out of shape people you wont want to walk. Site fit my 3 room tent(can accomadate much more than small tent here, ez up, 5 chairs around fire pit. Standing hammock, and portable shower tent no problem. Site is mostly shaded by 3pm and then in the sun from about 8am until then.perfect time to have coffee and get to the lake, and site is shaded by the time you go back. We got visited by two bears. Put your food away in the bear bins. Had we done this we'd probably not been visited. Alot of bees so I set a homemade beetrap out of a water bottle with some coffee in it and it helped. Entire family did get a few mosquito bites despite spraying down in deet. There were ants that got in our tent but I was equipped with raid. Bathrooms were clean and maintained which was nice. 10pm quiet time was not honored but this didn't bother us at all. Just some things to keep in mine when booking here.. the lake was amazing. We had such a good time. This is definitely a single family site though if you bring lots of gear. With no gear (shower hammock , ez up etc) you can easily place two tents here. (But you can only fit 1 vehicle and no extra parking) if you want to book a second site book 28 or 29. They are connected with a path and side by side technically. Careful if you're booking sites side by side. Majority of these sites have a small hill or trees between them. Good spots to pair with easy access would be 5 and 28 or 5 and 29. 28 and 29. 33 and 34 is so good with huge space but downhill to your spot . 3 and 4 smaller space next to camp host.. didn't walk the 40s and 50s to know how they look.
