What Guests Are Saying
Camping at Quail's Roost offers a pleasant experience, especially on weekdays when it’s quieter. Sandy Point stands out for its beach access, cleanliness, and amenities like free showers, making it great for families and pets. The condos are well-equipped and upgraded, perfect for groups, though some may find the lack of privacy and kitchen facilities a minor inconvenience.

Camping at Quail's Roost
Camping is pleasant, best to camp during weekdays, as weekends are very loud and the ranger is not very responsive to disruptions to quiet hours. The campsite does the job, however most sites are extremely slanted and fairly sunny. We've also had a red ant problem the past few summers.

Love this place. My favorite place to camp is Sandy point because it has its own beach. The water is only at 50% but that is plenty enough to enjoy. They take great care of making sure the place is clean and accessible. The bathrooms at Sandy Point have free showers and each site has their own water access. Great for dogs but BEWARE the pavement heat (we use water shoes for our pup)

Stayed at the Pine Knoll RV spot. Location was good, close to the water. Problems were enforcement of quiet time and amplified music. Group up from us had massive dance club speakers blasting away all day. ZERO enforcement of quiet time. Won’t be coming back.

We stayed at the condo's (L11) for two nights during the week of June 1st. The lake was not crowded (mid-week) and the skiing was great.
The condos were upgraded in recent years and are nicely set up. The 8-sleeper loft is great for family but if you are traveling with other couples, you might want more privacy by renting more units.
FYI, There is no oven or gas BBQ (plan ahead). The kitchen is modestly equipped so bring specialized utensils.
The condo comes with a boat slip! Also, the marina store is closed mid-week, so get your supplies in advance.
This is our 3rd stay and we plan to come each year.

Me and my family actually went camping here. We got invited out by some friendly friends. It was a beautiful experience beautiful lake. The only downfall is the bathrooms by our campsite were down so we had to go a little further. Instead of a walk it was a car drive but other than that
