What Guests Are Saying

Hearst San Simeon State Park offers beautiful scenery and a tranquil atmosphere, perfect for outdoor enjoyment with ample shade and trees. Visitors noted the friendly staff and enjoyable wildlife sightings, along with stunning night skies. However, some areas, especially the hiking trails, require maintenance, and there may be limited cellphone service in certain RV spots, particularly for Verizon users.

Very quiet and beautiful scenery. Lots of space to enjoy being outside with plenty of shade and trees. Some spots are dead spots for cellphone service, mainly in the large rv spots for 30+ foot spots. They are in a low spot with trees and hills blocking line of sight for cellphone tower signal. I have Verizon and when we parked immediately no service. Not a bad thing just advising the obstacle in case you depend on cellular data for work or communication and have Verizon 😁

Was shite weather but super friendly staff for a quick over night camp. Saw some cool quail and great views. Wish we had more time to spend exploring.

I love how quiet all the campers were. Night time saw the stars and milky way. This was the dry camping area. They had power in the other area. Beach on the other side of the 1 hwy.

Overall the area is very nice. The hike was pretty with wildlife around but the trails have not been maintained well. The loop couldn't be completed because the bridges was out without being marked at the start and in many places the trail is overgrown.
