What Guests Are Saying
Furnace Creek Campground is well-maintained with clean bathroom facilities and spacious sites, making it a great choice for campers. Many visitors appreciated the proximity to major attractions and the helpful staff. However, some noted that the sites can be close together and suggested a need for more electric hookups for comfort during hot weather.

Great campground and we loved the rangers talk about the night sky

Great spot with plenty of room. Not really a walk-in site, long driveway right next to the site. It is across the actual walk-in sites. Close to bathrooms.

Don’t wait until you are 70 to see Death Valley, like I did. Furnace Creek is a fine campground for your stay.

We had a pull through site with hookups (#76). It was very clean and the electric and water were accessible. Hopefully the NPS will add hookups to more sites as they are way too limited at present. Also, I recommend you avoid entering or leaving via Hwy 190 off of US 395. Steep grades and sharp curves make for a very slow trip. We travelled with friends who took Hwy 127 out of Baker, CA. Although this is a longer route, our friends arrived about 10 minutes after us. The ride on 127 is much friendlier to RV's.

Campsite was clean and easily accessible, and as were the bathrooms/dishwashing. No easy shower access (in case that matters), and the "good" drinking water was a little bit of a walk to the visitor center (otherwise it was the same as the dishwashing water, and this was only sometimes cold). Sites are very close to each other, but this was fine for our purposes.
