Amazing campground right in the middle of the basin with a great 360 view of the mountain ranges. Spacious and nice campsites and bathrooms/drinkable water is really helpful! Would definitely stay here again if I come back to Death Valley.

We would recommend to the following activities:
- Badwater Basin - we hiked 2 miles out on the basin. On the way to or from the Basin check out the crystals at the Devils Golf Course.
- Zabriskie Point - note there are two parking entrances at different ends. We highly recommended the hike from the viewpoint parking off Hwy 190. If you choose to do the 3 mile hike you will love the views from both the high and low points. Check out the Red Pillars that are another .5 miles. Recommend hiking boots.
- Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes - a great adventure out on some amazing, high sand dunes. Beautiful views for great camera memories.
- Ubehebe Crater - a long ride well worth the trip. Allow time to hike the rim and into the crater.

I've been here many times. Toilet was out of paper which was annoying. It rained at least 1/4 inch but camp hosts could have warned some people they'd be waking up in the middle of a puddle.

Furnace Creek Campground was a lovely spot, but I did not have any hook ups, which makes it a little difficult and I had to leave early because of the extreme wind event that happened on 7 January

Always incredibly beautiful! This was our first time here in winter and it was much busier and cold at night, but the long nights made for great star gazing and the flat winter light made everything look unreal. Stay hydrated, even if you think you are drinking enough water your probably need more even if it doesn't feel that hot.
