What Guests Are Saying
Furnace Creek Campground is well-maintained with clean bathroom facilities and spacious sites, making it a great choice for campers. Many visitors appreciated the proximity to major attractions and the helpful staff. However, some noted that the sites can be close together and suggested a need for more electric hookups for comfort during hot weather.

The campground has some excellent sites, but the reservation system is cumbersome and inefficient. Many of the sites were reserved but vacant when we stayed in the campground. The campground was "closed" since all sites were reserved, and we needed to stay in 3 different sites during our 4-night stay. I suggest offering people with reservations full refunds when they cancel in order to encourage people to do so. This will free up unused sites for those of us who actually want to camp.

Campground with beautiful views conveniently located in the heart of the park. Solid amenities. Short walk to visitor center, and next to a gas station and general store.
Going in December is great for hiking, but dress warm. Also, be prepared for rain. It rained for 2/3 of our trip. I recommend badwater basin, mesquite sand dunes, artist's drive, devil's golf course, golden canyon, zabriski, and Dante's view. Most of all, go see the pupfish at the salt creek - how often do you get to see fish in a desert?

Wonderful campground, convenient to the Visitor's Center as well as the store and restaurants - and the golf course and swimming pools - at Furnace Creek. Our favorite place to stay in the park. Fills up fast so log on and reserve when it opens 6 months prior to your camping date.

Definitely only a few sites that are conducive to tent camping. Loved our site with the access to the bathroom and big open s-ace in front of the site. Bathrooms were clean and we loved having access to the sinks to wash dishes and get water. Tent spot was shaded under mesquite trees.
