What Guests Are Saying
Furnace Creek Campground is well-maintained with clean bathroom facilities and spacious sites, making it a great choice for campers. Many visitors appreciated the proximity to major attractions and the helpful staff. However, some noted that the sites can be close together and suggested a need for more electric hookups for comfort during hot weather.

Furnace Creek Campground is a wide open desert campground with many sites. We had one with some trees covering an area perfect to get out of the morning and afternoon sun. Almost all hook-up sites are out in the open and pop up shade is mandatory. Sites are tight but OK. Bathrooms are clean and well maintained. More water spigots for tent campers would be nice.
Location is close to major attractions. The visitors center is informative and fun.

I would give a higher rating except the washrooms in the morning were by no standard clean. Sad, as it is otherwise an excellent choice from which to enjoy the surrounding area.

I was at site 146. It was nice not to be next to the generator noise from the RVs. The sites are super close to each other. There is not a lot of space. You are literally starring at each other. Not a lot of privacy even with bushes on the side. Also, it wasn’t clear that everyone has to park on the same side and hence, walk through site 145 to get to the 146 spot. The guys at 145 wanted to block the walkway to 146 thinking we could go through the back side to get to the bathrooms and wash stations. They were annoyed. I had to explain to them that everyone parks on the same side and therefore the sites behind them have to walk next to their site to get to our site. You can hear everyone around you. On the positive side, bathrooms were clean and wash stations were very nice for dishes etc. FYI, I recommend bringing an EZ Up to help with shade over the picnic table. It was a life saver. The campsite is still nice and close to most major attractions.

Furnace creek campground was amazing. there are large potable water stations, and my site had plenty of space. the campground is an easy walk to the visitor center, and the post office.
