What Guests Are Saying
Furnace Creek Campground is well-maintained with clean bathroom facilities and spacious sites, making it a great choice for campers. Many visitors appreciated the proximity to major attractions and the helpful staff. However, some noted that the sites can be close together and suggested a need for more electric hookups for comfort during hot weather.

Nice campground conveniently located close to the visitor center (saves time trying to look for parking there on busy weekends. Clean bathrooms and campsites. Loved the water stations. Huge campsites as well - was pleasantly surprised by how large of an area we had!

The Ranger at check-in was very nice and helpful. We were in site 44, which had a big tree so there was shade.

We were lucky to get a site for the Dark Sky Festival. Checkin was smooth, and the facilities were clean and well maintained. All encounters with Park staff was great.
That said, the campground was noisy. Maybe that's the name of the game at popular places. I saw nobody at all, not one, patrol the area. I got up from my tent two separate times near midnight, got dressed, and confronted nearby noisy campers asking them to lower their voices. To their credit they did. But that shouldn't be my job.

Average campsite, no shade. Table, fire ring and blacktop pad to park car/RV. Campground was very quiet every night. Best stargazing, very clear skies. Gas inside the park can be expensive, top outside the park. Artist Pallet, Dante's View, Zabriskie Point are don't miss views.
