Del Mar Fairgrounds RV Park

Surf and Turf RV park was Amazing. They should however rename it to Kamp-Kev because Kevin the attendant is legit. He is extremely polite, knowledgeable and attentive. We checked in late but he still came out to greet us and help us back in, even though he had already pulled a 14 hour shift parking 42 other RVs. He made sure he was always available when needed and offered a helping hand when requested.

He also took security seriously which made a feel safe. He routinely did rounds to check all the site make make sure everyone was taken care of. Somehow he remembered everyones name and greeted them accordingly on a daily basis whether you were a long term stay or not. We pulled in at 11pm one night and the second our tires hit the gravel Kev popped out to make sure it was a car that was supposed to be there. Heck he even offered us homemade/smoked BBQ on the way out.

I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

We just had a nice stay here, they have full hookups 30 & 50 amp. We paid $65 a night. It is a great place to stay especially if your going to Del Mar Race track, Its an easy walk. Ear plugs are a must as the floodlights at the dirt lot next door run on generators all night. Also black out window inserts worked well. Its a gravel lot which we did not mind. It felt safe with security seen often & it was a well kept rv park. FYI The main entrance is now at the south east end of the lot as there are yellow poles blocking the west entrance.
We will stay here again.

This is not a fancy park and doesn't have amenities. However it has full hookups and is reasonably priced In a high demand location. Our spot was a back in spot on the fence around the outside edge. If we wanted to have a pull through slot we could have paid for two in the center of the park and done pull through. The spot was level with easy access to the sewer, water and electric.

It's very close to grocery stores and the ocean and all kinds of interesting and fun things to do. It wasn't very crowded when we were there. There is road noise but it was not distracting. More like white noise. It's right across from the del Mar race track and next door to fairgrounds. Plenty of places to eat nearby. Easy access to San Diego. We go to the San Diego area on a regular basis and this will be our place to stay!

This was a great find in Del Mar as we wanted to visit family in San Diego last minute. We have three dogs and were hoping to be close to the dog beach. This was the perfect spot. It has all the basics: full hook ups if you want them, clean, leveled areas to park rv’s and easy access to restaurants (walking 5-10 min or 20min further away) and groceries, laundromat (5-10 min drive). It’s beside a Hilton hotel and the fairgrounds, but wasn’t noisy at all. Reservations are all online and check in was as simple as clicking an online link. Manager lives on site should you need anything, but we never did. Felt secure as there is a tennis club right here and the general neighborhood is upscale. We walked to the dog beach (Del Mar Dog Beach) every day, about 20-30min easy pace. Overall would definitely recommend this place.

Clean gravel park, Sam is a friendly host who goes beyond helpful! Park is in great location; I-5 is like white noise. Fire station is nearby, so sirens periodically. Close for biking, golf, mini-golf, beach, restaurants, shopping. Fenced next to Hilton where you can buy a day pass to hotel amenities.
