Nice quiet campsite. Facilities were clean and well maintained. GVL is off the beaten path, so don’t come here looking for nightlife. Rather, experience a little hidden bit of wilderness located within a 2 hour drive for 10 million people which still persists. We walked for 2 hours from the back of the campground and did not see another human.

Camp grounds are very clean. The bathrooms are cleaned daily. If you Forget your firewood, they have you covered.

The bathrooms are very clean which is what I most feared about a campground and staying overnight. Staff is amazing very helpful and caring. We stayed at space 01 which wa spercect very private and shady, also very quiet.

We stayed in camp cite #4. It was secluded and private. It has its own walkway into the Vite from the cars. The bushes in front of it hide it from everyone seeing you. With this being said, all other camp cites are out in the open. A few cites don’t have much shade and some are 1 car 1 tent size. Overall the camp is really clean, it offers a flushing toilet and water. It does have a nearby trail and the lake is approximately 3 mi round trip from the camp cite. There is a convenience store by the lake as well. The camp host are very welcoming and open for any questions you may have.

Getting There
From Running Springs, travel east on Highway 18 about 3 mi to Green Valley Lake Road. Turn left and continue about 6 mi to the campground.
Policies & Rules
General
- We are located in the San Bernardino Mountains, we are not the State Park in San Diego.
- Bears frequent the area; use appropriate containers for food and garbage
- Off-road vehicle use is prohibited within the campground
- Fire restrictions may be imposed at any time due to hot, dry weather conditions, at which time campfires and charcoal fires may not be allowed
- In accordance with standard industry practices, Mountain Top Recreation will be assessing a $8 additional vehicle fee per night on the second vehicle in each single family campsite, and on the third and fourth vehicles in any double family campsite, provided these vehicles are not joined to the first vehicle by a hitch and towed onto the site. In the case of motorcycles, the first two are considered to be one vehicle and the third and fourth are also considered to be one vehicle. No additional vehicle fees are collected for bicycles. The fee is collected at the Campground.
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect California's forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. For more information visit firewood.ca.gov.
