Pineknot

We enjoyed Pineknot campground - and the host was so accommodating 😁

Campsite #37 is awful. It sits on the corner where the road splits, behind the noisy dumpster. Zero privacy unlike some of the nicer campsites above (#38,39). Constant people and dogs coming and going, even though there are walking trails literally outside of the campground. The campsite is sloped, as well as the bear box. This campsite was a workout. Spent afternoons moving our camp chairs, and cooler to stay cool. No shade from 10:30A until 6:30P. After this experience, I will avoid staying in Ntl Forest campgrounds.

Nice camp close to Big Bear enough to enjoy the fireworks from a distance.

The campsite was clean, quiet. Everyone was friendly, it was a great overall experience.

This camp site has become a tradition in our family. Love the camp sites, the bathrooms are constantly maintained. The staff is very helpful and polite. Will continue to enjoy spending our time here during the summer with the family.

We stayed at site #8, this was the best experience ever! Sites #8 & #9 are a bit close together but the neighbors were really nice. The ranger/caretaker of the grounds are so welcoming and kind. This will definitely be a place we come back to.

Great location! Super accessible to mountain biking, pretty close to the village, and bathrooms and sites were spotless!! Overall, great experience! Camp host was super friendly and answered the door late when we needed fire wood! Oops! The only issue we had was with the coyotes!! They were super active in the area and we were woken many nights by them running and howling through camp. Unfortunately, our neighbors dog was taken by a coyote while we were there so just be cautious of all wildlife especially if you have pets or children!!!!

Campground is in a great location near the ski area. Great for biking, close to town and all other attractions. Sites are large and shady. Bear lockers are a bit smaller than what you see at other campgrounds, so bring smaller coolers and food containers. There was a bear in our camp site both nights we stayed and it did eat everything that wasn't in the bear locker.

The campsites are nice and spacious, plenty of shade, running water, clean facilities, it’s quiet at night, and our camp host was so awesome! He put on a magic show AND gave our car a jump after my battery died while packing to go home. We can’t wait to go back!

I really wish there had been hand soap in the bathrooms. I'm not sure what the reasoning is to have running water but no hand soap (and no soap dispensers), but I know it was unexpected for other campers too. It was a bit noisy on one night due to a group that played music past the start of quiet hours. I wish the camp host had been more on it, but overall I enjoyed our stay.
