What Guests Are Saying
Lake Sonoma offers a beautiful camping experience with stunning views, serene waters, and great access to hiking and fishing. Many campsites provide a peaceful atmosphere, especially during mid-week visits when crowds are minimal. However, some areas require better maintenance, including trash management and restroom facilities, and campers should be cautious of wildlife encounters, such as rattlesnakes and yellow jackets.

bathrooms were clean and stocked with paper. Tables , tent site, and firepit were in good shape and had good views of the lake. camping was not crowded despite labor day holiday and good weather.

We backpacked in and the trail was not super well-maintained. The site was OK but not a lot of flat spots to pitch a tent. Also site 7 and 6 are on top of each other. Lots of boating activity which is to be expected for a boat in site, but I’d been hoping for more of a wilderness experience. TONS of poison oak overgrown across the trail in.

Fun overnight camp spot! You could spot some cool wildlife if you're lucky. And catfish if you wet a line!
