What Guests Are Saying
Pardee Lake Recreation Area offers a peaceful camping experience with beautiful wildflowers and clean facilities. While the lake was closed for boating and swimming during the visit, some rental boats were available, and amenities like the swimming pool and restaurant were set to open soon. However, some sites are close to the highway, and hiking options may not meet all expectations.

A good place to camp. There are some camp sites that are very close to the main highway which can noisy at times. When we were there, third week in May, the lake was closed to all boating inc. kayaks, canoes, and float tubes. I word when the lake would reopen. But some of the Marina's rental boats were available for use. The swimming pool and restaurant where opening on Memorial Day weekend.

It wasn't what I expected. It was pretty, but you cannot swim in the water. If the wildflowers were not blooming the hike would have just been hot and boring. Positives- not a lot of people, lots of flowers, clean. Negatives - no swimming, hiking was just a quick walk not a real hike.

We were there the last 2 weeks of July 2024 And they had closed down the rest of the park with only the long-term parking area available which is what we wanted anyway for 520 per month Plus electric. Very nice place very well-cared-for and very clean concrete pads etc et cetera and very good walking area around the Marina and in the hills. It was quite hot during the time we were there so be prepared. Sarah and the other managers were very nice. Check beforehand if the restrooms showers and laundry are available they were having problems with the water filter for those systems.

Very nice Lake. Easy to find. Friendly staff. Only went for the day, but the campsites looked very inviting. Day use areas were clean. We really liked all the bathrooms and garbage cans conveniently placed around lake. Also, nice touch with all the benches placed around the lake.

Was here in April 2021, camped is site 128 (dry) - which is about as private a site as is there. I prefer privacy, so this was a nice site. Most other sites get pretty cozy with your neighbor. As far as I could tell, all restrooms except near the big parking lot were porta potties. I didn't see any showers, but there are probably some somewhere. I did not see any vault toilets.
There were a ton of fishermen there. I fished from shore, and in three days caught one trout. No one else from shore was even getting a bite, and even some of the boaters came back empty handed. You pay $7.25 per day to fish, whether from shore or a boat, so if you're there for a week it adds up. Plus the $5 per dog (I have 2) - that meant I spent $17.25 per day for my dogs and to fish.
There's nice trails that are good to hike and bike.
