When you stay at Silver Lake Campground, you better be ready for anything, no matter what the forecast reads. We had an excellent arrival day, low 70's and no W. Then the next 3 days were filled with cold temps and lots of W. This is a legendary campground with access to lake front shore fishing for the entire north shore basically. Immaculate restrooms at all times. Camp hosts all rock, very friendly and cool people. Everyone we met at this campground was good, courteous people, I can tell the covid crowd as quieted down. I will continue to visit this campground every year for the rest of my life, It's become an annual tradition and pilgrimage. This year we stayed for 3 full days and that was just about enough. Perfect time!

Unfortunately the weather was not what we expected. However we made the best of it and my daughter had a great time. The camp host at the campground was super friendly and helpful! We have been going to silver lake for years and they never disappoint. From the campground to the lake to the cafe everyone is super nice and wonderful!

Great location to visit many 395 sites. Plus local brewery and fine breakfast spot right across the street! The hike to Parker Lake is pretty easy. Visit Mono Lake, Mammoth area, even Bridgeport. A bit far for Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest -- try Big Pine for that.

Our first time up in the June Lake Loop area, it is so gorgeous up there.
The Silver Lake campground was really nice, our site #13 was very close to the lake and to the restrooms. I only wish that the showers were available during our stay (5/13 - 5/15).
I definitely plan to return and would recommend this campground to others.
