What Guests Are Saying

Newport Dunes offers a fantastic location near Newport Beach, with beautiful grounds, clean facilities, and great amenities like a large warm pool and hot tubs. While the RV spots are small and can feel cramped, the surrounding activities, such as kayaking and walking paths, enhance the experience. Some guests have reported issues with cleanliness in the cabins and hidden fees in contracts, but many still appreciate the overall charm and activities available in the area.

I had a beautiful wedding with my husband, family and friends. With no thanks to Angela, who did not have a fiduciary duty to the customer, and did not mention hidden fees, and sold us on an inclusive package, that was completely hidden by a contract with fine print. It’s not a low cost alternative as they make it seem.

RV spots are small and expensive. Difficult to enjoy sitting out when you don't have any extra space, like a parking lot actually. You can reach out and touch your neighbors RV. We stayed during Thanksgiving week, large groups had to set up in the street because sites are so small. But, nice location to Newport area.

Location, location, location,. That's really what you're paying for here. It certainly isn't the RV site. They're tiny, narrow, short unlevel. Just kind of awful. It's when you get to everything else that this RV park, and it is a park not a resort, that it starts to stand out. The inlet, the kayaks, the walking path around the inlet, That's what makes this place decent. There are restaurants and general stores and all the things you want to see in an RV park and in space. It has to be and you have 400 RV sites. You better have something to do and it does. That and the fact that you're in Newport which is just a fantastic place in Southern California. Lots to do. Lots to see and all that. This isn't the terrible place or anything like that and actually will be back in less than a month which we first got here was absolutely in doubt cuz the RV sites are subpar in every aspect other than the super premium sites which is where we'll be in December and while Robert coming back here. The normal sites yeah they're kind of pathetic but if you can get past that deal with the the 3-ft on each side of your RV that you have between spaces, the fact that they're not level the fact that they're dirt instead of paved and all that then you can enjoy the other things that this park and its surroundings offer. I recommend the city Newport or Huntington Beach. I don't really recommend the RV Park, especially if you don't want screaming kids. People parked and moving their picnic tables into the the road that you're supposed to drive on and all the other garbage that you kind of deal with here. The laundry room is great. The bathrooms and showers are great. The amenities once you leave your RV spot are great but you got to deal The screaming children riding in the middle of the street. The people in the cabins that aren't actual rvers that don't understand etiquette, the tiny spots being right next to your neighbors and a few other issues. I gave it four stars and I'm comfortable with that because the pluses are pretty strong but if you took away even a few of those. Pluses then this is not a place you would come to a second time.

We have come here for years and years and have always loved it. It has always been absolutely beautiful and peaceful. The camping sites are amazing. But we always stay in the cabins and it has always been amazing. This past time however our large cabin was infested with huge roaches, the floor was held together with packing tape, and the toilet backed up so easily and ended up coming out of the sink. I did call and complain and they were very nice. But no offer of any sort of refund or any sort of help. For how much money we pay for a large cabin this was so unacceptable. I'm only writing a review in hopes that they will take The state of their cabins seriously again and do something about how much they have gone downhill.
