Great campground, our site had a ton of privacy, surrounded by bushes. Had a great time. Not a lot to do on-site but nice and relaxing. Good bathrooms and water access.

Quaint campground the camp host was very friendly. Would recommend for a quick night out somewhere different.

I had a very relaxing time with my dog. One recommendation I have is to paint the campsite number on the driveways. The existing paint is worn out and/or faded.

Oak Grove Campground is a campground falling in disrepair. Fire rings broken and out houses with broken doors. Worst of all, the FS has garbage pick up on Wednesdays. At end of weekend, dumpsters were overflowing and flies invaded everywhere until dark. It makes most sense to have garbage pick up on Mondays and no sense for the pile of garbage Monday to Wednesday. Honestly, the FS has really fallen since I worked summers for FS. There used to be many garbage cans in campgrounds instead of 2 dumpster sites and I was responsible for cleaning up all every day of weekend. Now I'm not sure what camp hosts do these days but nothing related to keeping campground clean.

Had a nice trip. My main concern lies with the camp host. We didn’t see them once throughout our 3 night stay. There was no information on what to do for check in; and then generally, the host comes around at least once per day to ensure all is well. But not here. Then when we found the camp host’s site, it seemed difficult to get their attention due to loud large barking dog, and their camper being fenced off. Can never be too sure if a German shepherd is friendly to strangers. unsure how we would’ve gotten to them.
I’m grateful we never ended up *needing* the host, but I’m concerned for future trips if we’re to return to this campground. A name wasn’t even posted on the sites - it feels very easy to take someone else’s site. No accountability.
Otherwise, the site was nice (albeit a little misleading from the photos). Restrooms were fine. Lots of wildlife.

Only real highlight is that the bathrooms were clean and well stocked throughout our stay. Our station (20) had no shade and the area around the only big tree was completely overun with dried brush. There must have been at least a dozen different fire ant nests as well.
