What Guests Are Saying

Valley Oak Recreation Area offers a beautiful location along the water with ample trees, making it a favorite for long-time campers. The campsites are clean, and the camp host, Craig, is highly praised for his helpfulness. However, there are concerns about the lack of potable water, close proximity of campsites, and some cleanliness issues in the bathrooms.

All was fine except that people across the river were up all night and very noisy. I would recommend that you strongly recommend that your campers bring ear plugs.
There was no signs as to where the group camp was located so we just camped at the campground.
ACE ranger was very nice and helpful.

Camp hosts were very nice. Had the whole place to myself, which was wonderful. There was a loud party across the river, but they quieted down shortly after sundown. I’ll definitely call here again.
