Really great campsite with a lot of amenities. Very big and got a little busy at times. But great location.

Tent cabin 28 was in a nice location on the edge of the campground. I saw a couple of rabbits and some deer in the mornings. It doesn't get sun until later in the morning, so it stays cool a little longer. The only problem was the mattresses are very hard and made my hips hurt. Bring a mattress pad if you can. Also, there were ants in the food locker, so make sure to bring a container that seals if you are going to use it. There were lots of kids that were rather loud.

Lovely campground, where we could regularly see deer, rabbits, squirrels, and so many birds. The swimming pool and camp store with an ice cream freezer were big treats for the kids! There were hot showers that did not require coins/tokens, so it was the most comfortable we've ever felt in our sleeping bags! My only complaint about the campgrounds is that the water spigots are few and far between.

We visited on a holiday weekend, so the Moses Spring parking lot filled up early in the morning. We ended up walking to Bear Gulch Nature Center, enjoying it plenty, and turning around. If you have your heart set on caves, make sure you confirm whether they're open when planning a trip because they are sometimes closed to protect bat colonies.

We had an wonderful 4 days camping, and we'd recommend this beautiful place, full of wildlife, to everyone!

The tent cabin was nice to have a roomy area to come back to after a long day of hiking. It was in direct sun, so it got quite hot in the day. On the flip-side, it was freezing at night so bring extra blankets! There are no outlets for charging things, so bring portable power banks if you need to charge your phone or anything like that. Check in was very easy. Lots of animals out and about, especially at dusk: rabbits, squirrels, chipmunks, deer. I even saw a bobcat! I was in tent cabin 23, which wasn't too far from the bathrooms. The showers were a bit further, but super nice to wash off the dust and sweat from the day.

Overall, campground is great. Showers, flushable toilets (at least where we were at, on Loop B), store, friendly staff. The campground is not as pretty as others I have visited, but the amenities are great. Site 23 was a little small, but there were smaller sites than ours. There was some shade; mid-day had no coverage, but it started to get shade later in the afternoon.
