We had a lovely stay here. The location is great, 30 mins to the Pinnacles, 40 mins to San Juan Batista Mission or 20 to Hollister, super cute with restaurants and shops. Free WiFi at the lodge, outside of that there is no cell service.

We stayed in a 6 person cabin, the kids loved the loft. Heavy rains caused some issues with the direct tv but they went above and beyond to try and fix it. Even offering to switch cabins if we’d like. Staff then brought us back a meat thermometer during their attempts after overhearing my mom say she wanted one. Which was probably the only thing the kitchen was missing. The thoughtful kindness was very much appreciated.

Just magical all around. We will be back!

Updated review. This time we have a cabin. Absolutely beautiful and amazing. This campground has very nice grounds now. Very park like. The staff are amazing and friendly. The manager Stephanie is very personable and willing to help. If you ever get the chance to come here, I would highly recommend staying in a cabin. The RV spots are level and very nice too. Oh there are deer everywhere and lots of birds. Very relaxing place. Nice to walk around. Wish I could add pictures. Have some awesome ones.

Great people and quiet, clean NEW sites.
We regrettably had a major issue with our RV and they were more than accommodating in extending our time and helping get all done. The park is being renovated and the sites are mostly gravel pad with new utility and cleared areas. The staff is friendly and always answered the phone…Will return soon as we have additional repairs scheduled in the area.

The location is a good area if you’re a hunter otherwise it’s a long way to any amenities. The park itself is under construction and not kept up very well. The spaces are very tight together and we really did not like sharing our picnic area with the trailer next to us. The other down side is lots of mosquitoes and flys from a nearby stagnant stream. It has full hook ups and bathrooms and we are fine using it as an overnight on our way to our next destination.

BEWARE: Not Safe! I used to stay at San Benito Thousand Trails quite often. I would stay there for 3 weeks at a time and then stay my week out at the fairgrounds while I worked in Hollister. The staff knew me very well.
One morning in April 2023 I got up and went to work as usual. When I returned at 9:30pm I noticed that the entire park had been evacuated due to flooding. I began to panic because my dog and cat were stranded in my RV. There was No staff around, not even the general manager. The bridges to get to my site were completely under water. It was as if we were in a sinking ship and the Captain had abandoned it, leaving everyone to fend for themselves.
Keep in mind, never once did I receive a phone call to advise me that the park was being evacuated. I could have easily made it there in 30 minutes if I had known that.
There were a couple other people there who were in the same position as I was in. They said that all the staff had left hours ago.
I REFUSED to leave my animals stranded there. So I crossed the flooded bridge on foot in the pitch black dark and walked the 2 miles back to my site so that I could make sure that my pets were okay.
I trusted that this park was a safe place for me and my pets, but I was wrong. They have all of my information on file to contact me in case of an emergency yet they failed to do so. This is purely negligence on Thousand Trails.
I stayed in the flooded area that night until people arrived the next day. I have not been back since and Thousand Trails refuses to let me out of my contract
