Pinnacles is worth a visit - different landscapes, variety of wildlife, beautiful views. Recommend the Bear Gulch Cave and Reservoir trail (easy, fun, beautiful hike.
As far as the campsite- this site has easy access to restroom. Restroom is well maintained with running water and soap. This campsite is flat. It is pretty private as it is surrounded by bushes from neighboring sites, (although the perfect hideout for raccoons as they are on the lookout for food). The fire pit is low, grill hangs over low to ground. The only trouble we had was the ease of access to the trailhead. This campsite is on the other side of the dried creek bed from the way to the trail. Note: the campsite is 3 miles each way to the Bear Gulch Cave trailhead

Nice campground with some more roomier and more private sites deeper into the campground. The roads are very narrow, and even with our 25' truck camper, it could be tight.
My biggest complaint is the "no generator" rule. While we mostly use solar and in many campgrounds we never need the generator, the fact this campground is very shaded and also very hot, some generator hours would be helpful for people such as my wife who deals poorly with the heat to briefly recharge and run the AC for a short time

First camping experience: we couldn't have chosen a better place! Having hot showers is an amazing amenity. Bathrooms were super clean and water spigots were easy as there was never one too far away. Would highly recommend camping here!

Site 62 is very secluded and spacious with excellent privacy. The free hot water shower near the general store is a pleasant surprise especially after a long hike. The bathroom is clean and good in general. The meadow around the campground provides a breathing open space for picnics and bird watching. All trails are interesting and fun.

We were very pleased with our site choice. (#68) Some sites are not as lovely so do your research. Porta Potties were very clean and well maintained. Camp store seemed to be very well stocked. Firewood is $20 per bundle so purchase some on the way if you can. Highly recommend the Condor Gulch to High Peaks Trail loop. It's a slightly challenging trail but only for brief sections. the diversity of scenery and added bonus of Bear Gulch cave makes this trail really unique and rewarding.

We stayed at site 32, which has excellent morning shade and afternoon sunshine. Site is large enough to find shade any time of day, but plenty of solar for our solar panels. There were quail, turkeys, bunnies and squirrels galore right in the campsite, along with a deer and a raccoon. Be sure to clean your camp and dump your trash. The campground in general was very clean and well kept, with FREE showers and a little store. Big puddles in front of the ladies restroom during rain. A great variety of hikes available.

Nice to jump in the pool after a long hike there were a lot of student groups so the showers were full, but I went back the next morning and open

Nice tent cabins very clean. Good campsite and midweek access to park is uncrowded. Was surprised so see so many rangers and staff to help out visitors. We did have critters of all kinds visit the site at dusk - be sure to follow their food lockdown recommendations and send those determined little critters on to someone else’s snacks!
