What Guests Are Saying

Emerald Desert RV Resort is a beautiful and well-maintained property with a fantastic location, making it ideal for socializing and recreational activities like pickleball. Guests appreciate the friendly staff and the vibrant community atmosphere, featuring planned activities and amenities such as pools and jacuzzis. However, some have raised concerns about rising costs, reservation issues, and inconsistent maintenance, particularly regarding trash collection and pool upkeep, which detracted from their overall experience.

We having been staying at the Emerald Desert for the past 10+ years. Initially it began as a two week stay and then 3 weeks and this year we stayed for a full month. Unfortunately it has been getting more and more expensive to the point of becoming unaffordable for what you get. It is a lovely resort and most of the staff are friendly and accommodating. They have to do something about their reservation system though. We requested an elite site because the train noise is not as loud on that side of the park. We were told we can’t book those sites because we weren’t staying for 2 months. Fair enough, those are the rules but on our daily walks through the park you could see half of the elite sites were continuously empty. This average rating is not sour grapes for not getting the site we wanted it is just because the resort is not like it used to be and bang for your buck is lacking.

Loved the location and how clean the property was when we first arrived. The site itself is beautiful and has a lot of potential, which is why I hope to return in the future. However, as our stay progressed, it became clear that the property was extremely short-staffed, and unfortunately it affected the overall experience.

Throughout our stay, the trash was not picked up consistently or on time. Because of this, crows repeatedly got into it and scattered food and debris around the area. I ultimately had to clean it up myself because I could not risk my dog getting into table scraps or unsafe food.

We also experienced issues with the pool and jacuzzi maintenance. While I understand it had been windy the night before, temperatures were reaching 109 degrees, and the pool area should have been better maintained for guests. When we brought the issue to staff, one employee kindly helped for about 10 minutes, but then had to stop because he was not allowed overtime and there was no one available to replace him. My husband ended up skimming and cleaning the pool himself so we could use it.

Later that evening, we encountered the same issue with the jacuzzi. We had to retrieve the skimmer ourselves and clean it before being able to enjoy it. During our nightly walks with the dog, we also noticed items such as pillows and even an umbrella floating in the pool. My husband removed them and closed the remaining umbrellas to help prevent further issues.

I truly do hope to return because this is a great-looking property in a fantastic location. With improved upkeep, maintenance, and a stronger staff presence, this place could easily provide an exceptional guest experience.

Great location and a great place to meet new friends. We met friends mostly through playing pickleball at the resort. Only issue is some noise from the train and freeway. Not enough to keep me from coming back.

Tons of snow birds and retirees with very nice rigs. Full hook ups. This time of year (winter) lots of months-long guests. We spoke to our "neighbor" and she and her husband were staying for four months. Safe, friendly, centrally located. Pickle ball, two nice pools. We took a jacuzzi every evening before calling it a night. I also did a few loads of laundry - somewhat pricey ($5 per wash/ $5 per dry) but the convenience was fantastic. Very nice landscaped grounds. Lots of planned activities. We happened to be there on Valentine's Day and they were planning a dinner and dance. No food, drinks or services, however.

We stayed here over the Thanksgiving weekend in an RV Spot and my in laws stayed in a Villa.

The villa was very nice and roomy. Clean and comfortable as well. A little work on the water pressure for the shower would be great but it was manageable.

We made our RV reservations a year ahead of time for this trip. We travel with friends and plan ahead so we get the spots we like. Paid the deposit and chose our “Super Platinum” spot last November.
Called once a month to confirm our reservation and spot as we always do with any reservation we make so far ahead of time.
We find out beginning of November that they gave our spots to someone else for the weekend. Quite annoying and unsettling as we had done our due diligence in making sure we secured the sights we wanted. We are full time RV and understand that things happen sometimes but a courtesy phone call and a heads up saying we were kicked out of our chosen spot would have been appreciated.
Putting the frustration aside from that issue…we love the park. It’s beautiful, very clean and well kept. Always meet wonderful people and get to pet lots of fur babies. The pool and spa are nice as well.
On a side note…the person they gave one of our spots too did not even stay the full holiday weekend! Ugh.
I gave 5 stars because it’s a great place to stay.
