What Guests Are Saying
Meadowview Campground is praised for its spacious sites, beautiful natural surroundings, and convenient location near Pinecrest Lake, making it a great choice for families and groups. The addition of a reservation system has improved organization, and many campers appreciate the clean facilities and friendly staff. However, concerns about noisy neighbors, restroom maintenance, and rule enforcement have been noted, indicating areas for improvement in the overall camping experience.

Great campground. Not to far from the lake and there's trail that connects it to the lake.

My first time at this campground for a family reunion. All staff were very friendly and professional. Roads are rather narrow. The area is dry and the whole campground had a layer of loose dust and dried dirt. Our camper required a thorough cleaning upon returning home. Lastly a ten-year-old riding an electric bike came within inches of running me over from behind while traveling well over 20 mph on the narrow road. Kids with no training on 30 mph vehicles could be better monitored or restricted.

I really hate that all campsites near Pinecrest Lake are reservation only. It makes it so difficult to get a site. Then to top it off, the company that is running it is consistently reprimanding campers about every little thing. First it was because we have a campsite where someone was sleeping in their car instead of a tent. They told us we needed a tent set up at that site. More of our family was coming that week and did set up a tent. They threatened to take the campsite away from us. Then I guess now there's a new rule where you can only run your generators for two hours a day. That's what the person told us who came to our campsite. That's ridiculous. We were not comfortable the entire time we were up there because we felt like we were being watched all the time. And the other reason we have three sites is because of your limit of 6 people per site. Yet late at night we could hear people partying until 3 a.m. They were so loud one of the other campers had to tell them to shut it down. Why don't you patrol for that kind of disturbance. I have been camping at Pinecrest for over 60 years. We are not sure we are coming back any longer. It's very sad to our family as this is a tradition we carried on long after my parents passed away.

Beautiful scenery, Pinecrest Lake is lovely. Parking at lake was hectic. Didn't like highway noise, camp host was rude and knit picked rules like car on white line. Bathrooms had 2 stalls and one was down all weekend for women's, not stocked. Next year, new spot.

The campground is very easy to find check-in was a breeze. The campsites are nice and large. They’re raked. Everything was really nice except that there was some trash left over in our site and trash in our fire ring. The location of the campground is great and find the Pinecrest area is beautiful.

Nice Location in proximity to Pinecrest Lake. Pinecrest Lake is Beautiful, but very crowded during summer months. The campground itself has many sites some with ample room and flat and some on slopes with barely a spot to pitch a tent. Avoid sites 314 and 315 as these two are examples of sites on slopes.
The campgrounds proximity to State Hwy 108 increases its traffic noise level considerably especially sites that are sloped and near the hwy. At night one can really hear the roar of vehicles, especially trucks as they power up the hill towards Strawberry.
There are about 4 main loops and each loop has at least one or two bathrooms. Unfortunately, the loop we were on loop 300 has a bathroom in serious need of restoration and modernization. The only toilet in the bathroom was constantly plugged due to low water flow and the floors and walls looked pretty grimy. In need of pressure washing and a good coat of paint. But honestly, these bathrooms should be razed and start fresh. They are severely limited in size for the proper amount of fixtures per amount of people in each camp loop.
Lots of trees and mostly clean is the surrounding area. Lots of sites are nice and spacious. Campground host tries his best for the size and volume of people in this camp at any given time.
Would I return. Probably not. It’s a great family camp and that’s why we chose it , but if I’m by myself, I’m moving up the highway towards cleaner and more serene Camps along Hwy 108 available during the summer months. Late fall and upper elevation campsite seasonal closures may force one to camp lower in elevation as is Meadowview.

Too crowded. This resulted in so much campfire smoke that the air was unsafe to breathe.
