What Guests Are Saying
Sycamore Grove Campground offers a beautiful, well-maintained setting with green grass, spacious sites, and clean bathrooms, including coin-operated showers. Many guests appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and friendly camp hosts, making it a great stop for travelers. However, some concerns were raised about noisy campers, the condition of pit toilets, and occasional issues with camp host interactions. Overall, it's considered a lovely place to relax and enjoy nature, especially for short stays.

The campsites were spacious. Overall, everything was clean and lovely with large sycamore trees all around. There are many walking/biking trails in the area.
I did not take a shower, but the water at the sink was warm enough so I imagine the showers would be hot. My only complaint is that there is no soap in the women's bathroom (and appears to never have been there), plus no paper towels or other hand-drying device, though there was an empty paper towel holder mounted on the wall. Luckily, there was plenty of toilet paper.

Pleasant setting, very easy access, decent places to walk the dog. For us it was a stop-over on our way somewhere else, but we were happy with the quiet.

Lovely campground, one of my favorites. Right by a lake coming in from the Sacramento River, with charming gardens and many walkways to bike and walk dogs.

Great little campground. Friendly host.
Campsites and Utilities (Electric and water) are backwards--on the wrong side of modern rigs. Door should be on table and campfire side.

We enjoyed ourselves stopping here on the way from San Diego to Portland, so we decided to stay two nights on the way back to San Diego. This is a wonderful place to hike and go birding along the Sacramento River. We saw a bald eagle on our birding adventure around the trails that surround the park. The restrooms were clean and the quarter shower was sufficient. We will most assuredly return on our next trip north.
