What Guests Are Saying

Upper Little Truckee campground offers clean facilities, well-maintained restrooms, and a friendly camp host, Vern, who enhances the camping experience. The proximity to the Little Truckee River is a highlight, providing a great spot for family activities. While noise from the nearby highway and the absence of bear boxes are noted concerns, many guests found the overall experience enjoyable and relaxing, especially for RV camping.

Great location, I believe all sites can accommodate RVs (from what I saw when walking around the campground). The host, Vernon, was super helpful and welcoming. The site was very close to the river. We had a great time tent camping in the area and it looked like all of the campsites provided some shade and some privacy (some sites more than others). Campsite was very clean.

Something to note - the campsite is VERY close to the highway (we knew this when reserving); however, there was not much traffic in the afternoon or evening, so it wasn't bothersome. The water was very low as well but we understand it was due to redirecting the water source to another location. We were still able to catch some fish and the host directed us to some great fishing holes. Bathrooms were closed but port-a-potties were available.
