the campground was very well maintained by the staff. Every night we were there it was quiet. Our site was well shaded from the hot sun and the weather was very pleasant

Site 53 is actually spacious. Enough for a RV and another car. Loved the quiet location.

Site 55 - Spaces are pretty large. Area was very clean, bathrooms and showers were very clean. Absolutely no issues here and I already booked another stay in September. Loved the fact that the lake was within walking/hiking distance.

Super strict place. I had an hour till checkout and staff were already reminding me about that. No phone service. Have to pay for dump station.

Do not recommend this site for an RV. We were unable to get our 25' travel trailer level side to side due to the slope of the site. Also, the small trees presented issues for positioning with slides and stairs.

I am so happy I was able to snag a spot for this campground. The bathroom nearest to my cam site was as clean as it can get! The campground overall was very well taken care of. I will say that I felt pressured when checking in due to the big line. I did want to ask more questions but knew there were only 1-2 staff memembers checking people in. Great experience overall!

My family and I have been coming to Fallen Leaf for 20+ years now. We absolutely love this campground and the surrounding nature. However, over the past couple years, this one in particular, seemed to put a damper on our trip. The front camp host Cheryl was extremely rude to myself and my family. We reserved 10 spots and were following all the rules. She was rude as soon as we pulled up to the gate to check in and my family experienced similar. Please do better in hiring respectful camp hosts in the future, because honestly it makes me reconsider coming back to Fallen Leaf in the future if I don’t feel welcome first thing when I’m trying to check in.

This campground is beautiful, clean, and close to the lake.
I’m giving three stars because of one of the hosts at check-in. I didn’t get her name but I was shocked to hear that she has “never seen” a DIGITAL access pass for my disability lifetime pass. I told her I’ve used it PLENTY of times at other national parks/campsites, and I’ve all showed them my digital pass on my Apple wallet (it is obviously valid). She said she needed to see the physical card, however, I’ve only ever received a digital version.
She said “anyone could’ve made that.” I’m no tech genius, but I’d say it would be pretty difficult “making something” then adding it to your Apple wallet. Recreation.gov provides the option to let you purchase a digital pass that you can add to your wallet. I would say that itself should prove its validity.
Recreation.gov also doesn’t ship out physical cards AFTER they’ve given you the digital version. So, if you have the DIGITAL DISABILITY lifetime pass, I suggest staying somewhere else where they deem your disability (and the pass) valid. For a campsite that charges so much more than other sites, you’d think they would have the most up-to-date info on what versions of passes are available for people. Not really accommodating for people with disabilities that want to camp, unless you have the physical lifetime pass.

Great location with lots of hiking, biking and water activities to do. Facilities are clean and well maintained. Pricey considering there are no hook-ups. T-mobile cell service is pretty much non-existent. Road to campground is in desperate need of repair... riddled with potholes!

There needs to be some level of control on the E-Bikes & Scooters that come flying through the campground, well exceeding the speed limit, with little regard for pedestrians.
