We had a positive experience at Fallen Leaf -- our campsite had a good location, and facilities were fine. Our only complaint was that the sites were a little tightly packed, and the location was very full, so it felt a bit crowded.

Clean bathrooms , quiet hours being respected, park hosts and rangers keep driving their rounds all day, taking care of things. It is a great campground, well maintained.

My wife & I have been going to Fallen Leaf for 5 years now. We really enjoy the surrounding area. The sites have plenty of space & are spaced apart for more privacy. The staff are friendly & helpful.

Cozy and comfortable in the yurt. Bring a pad as mattress was a bit lumpy in places.
Definitely take a walk to the lake in the morning when it’s quiet and serene.

I was here with my family just for one night and it was absolutely amazing. The team made check-in super easy even though power was out and they didn’t have their system; they had it all printed out and gave me much information about everything. Our campsite was number 103, would totally recommend and come here again. It was close to the bathroom, but not loud at all. The whole campground was super quiet, especially compared to places where we had been before and they had parties way over the quiet time and it was not taken care of. This campground was also very clean and the team came by several times a day to check and make sure that everything was OK. Again, if I had questions, they were all answered with patience and a smile. The walk to the lake from our campsite was about 15 minutes with two children. Access was easy and water was pretty warm compared to Lake Tahoe. We will be coming back!

WHAT A GREAT CAMPGROUND! We were in site 171 with our 25' travel trailer. the angle backing in was tight, a larger trailer would have a tough time making the trun. The site was huge, room for our trailer's awning, a 12'x12' popup shade, a large dome tent and a nice fire ring abot 25' from the trailer allowing 12 of us to enjoy the campfire at our camp each night. Fallen leaf campground was well maintained (Except for the main road in to camp), the showers were Hot, the batcrooms were cleaned every morning, the staff was helpful and pleasant. If you was to get a drink and a burger, you can take a short ride across the high way to the beach on Lake Tahoe and stop by The Grove for a cold beer or coctail and a nice meal. Sitting out on the patio with a good view of the lake and live music playing, makes you think your at a tropical resort not camping in the mountains surround by pines trees. The bears were around but not bothersome. A big healthy coyote strolled through our site one morning so keep your pets close.
