One of the best campouts I have ever been to. The facilities are kept very clean. I will return to Fallen Leaf in future for sure.

Always are favorite campground but this year management is over zealous in rule enforcement but looks the other way when it comes to their own staff. We were told to put our dog on a leash when their staff in site 14 used a chuck it every night to throw a ball for their two dogs in the meadow behind their site. We were admonished for having one side of our truck in the dirt on one side of our driveway and the same employee who took the time to leave a courtesy notice on our truck parked his own truck in a similar fashion in his site. Staff needs to lead by example

Check-in was very easy. The volunteers even added my lifetime pass to the campsite. Everyone was polite and helpful.

Great campsite. Close to Lake Tahoe, but far enough away from the crowds. Plus the quieter option of Fallen Leaf Lake. Easy access to the miles of bike trails on the southern end of Tahoe, you can easily keep your car parked all weekend. Just be very bear-aware. Food left out for even a short amout of time can attract bears. You'll likely come across at least one bear, and hear other campsites dealing with them. Kind of added to the fun of the weekend!

A beautiful campground with nice campsites, although it was hard in our specific site to find level ground for a tent. The bears are active here in the summer!

Campground was great. Lake was beautiful, however access is limited as there is no parking for campers. You must walk or bike to the lake. Or pay a separate fee to utilize day use parking lot (not included with camping fee). This makes it difficult, maybe impossible, for elderly or those with disabilities to access the lake.
The primary reason for just 1 star is how terrible the camp hosts were. We have been camping for decades and have never experienced such aggressive, hostile hosts. We had family members in 2 other campsites, and they also had negative interactions with the camp hosts. We will never return as long as the campground is being managed by the current set of hosts.

Great location between fallen leaf and Tahoe. Quiet campground even on the 4th of July.

Bears going rounds at night. They keep visiting and walking around waking us up. Our food was in the bear box and we never left anything out. Nothing happened but it was scary for the kids. One bathroom stall shower was not working and the other stall keeps eating tokens. We will not be coming back again because of the bears. Lake was nice though
