Dodge Reservoir Campground

Dodge Reservoir, located approximately 17 mi northeast of Ravendale, California, is a 480 acre water impoundment that was constructed in 1937 by the Dodge Brothers for irrigation.The campground has sites with picnic tables and one wheelchair accessible vault toilet. There is no trash collection or potable water. Donations are welcome but there is no site fee. We recommend calling the Eagle Lake Field Office, for current water conditions before planning a fishing tripThe reservoir is located at approximately 5.6 ft in elevation, in a high desert setting of sagebrush hills with scattered junipers. The reservoir has traditionally been stocked with Rainbow Trout, Lahontan Cutthroat throat and brown trout by the California Department of Fish and Game. The prime time for fishing this reservoir is spring and early summer when the water levels are the highest. Title to the land under and adjacent to the reservoir is a combination of Private and Federal ownership. The Dodge Ranch holds the water rights to the reservoir with no minimum pool requirement.
