Cottonwood Campground offers a stunning location for stargazing and has clean, well-maintained restroom facilities with running water. Many visitors enjoyed the peaceful, quiet atmosphere and nearby hiking trails, making it a great spot for outdoor activities. Some challenges included noise from nearby restrooms, close campsites, and limited parking options, but overall, guests had a positive experience and expressed a desire to return.

Nice campground, but many sites lack level areas that are more conducive to tent campers, such as myself. As with most FS and NPS campgrounds, seem to be catering more to RV campers and trailers that just pull in and don't really need a flat space to pitch a tent. That said, most sites have spaces to pitch a tent but may not be the most level.

There is no cell coverage at all. If you need to update your reservation or purchase any passes you gave to drive out if the park to find service. Rangers at visitor absolutely no help.

The volunteers do a great job of maintaining the campground. Also it’s nice that the Rangers have a program or activity every evening. The little library was a nice surprise also.
