Cottonwood Campground offers a stunning location for stargazing and has clean, well-maintained restroom facilities with running water. Many visitors enjoyed the peaceful, quiet atmosphere and nearby hiking trails, making it a great spot for outdoor activities. Absolutely loved this site! It’s far from the rest of the park, but the super dark skies and plant life make it worth it. It’s also worth it to mention clean bathrooms with running water.

Great spot with spacious spaces in good proximity to the restroom. Definitely a long drive from the “main” part of the park but it had some great trails nearby.

Spectacular view especially at night. Everyone’s friendly and respectful. Drinking water, tap water, and flushable toilets available on site. Definitely family friendly.

Good size camping area, nice bathrooms, plenty of toilet paper. A little far from more attractive areas in the park but still a great place to settle down and watch the stars at night.

Firsts of all it was not easy to reserve a spot. I arrived there it would be packed since all sites were booked as far as I experienced during the reservation period. Instead at least half of them were empty. The worst part is the one next site were all nighters. They were so loud all night. I know it is not park’s fault but I have not had my expected peaceful and quiet day.
