Pros:
1. Full hookups for RVs at relatively inexpensive daily prices. That means basically unlimited power, water and pump out without having to move your RV or pay per usage.
2. Firepits with grates suitable for cooking.
3. Just cross the street to enjoy the warm lake.
Only drawbacks:
1. No rangers at the booth but we got by without them.
2. Lake is rocky and hard to walk on barefoot.
3. Poor cell coverage, maybe a good thing in some ways for those of you looking to disconnect for a few days. Consider bringing a Starlink kit if you need reliable access.

Pro: Nice lake. Self-serve Kayak rental. Boat inspection free. Clean bathroom - even it was clogged and trashed once, but it was cleaned within a day. Not all shower have hot water, but we are all able to shower.
Con: camping ground on a hill, slightly not even.

Ky-en campground was great. However with only 2 rangers to support both Ky-en and Bushay campgrounds, there is significant need for increased maintenance. Bushay campground was closed for several seasons and badley needs maintenance. Downed trees, overgrown campsites etc. More staff is need as the work needed is far beyond the duties of 2 rangers. Federal cuts are causing serious degradation of a wonderful resource. Federal staffing cuts are harmful and wasteful of a great resource.

Great location. Needs some upkeep and enforcement of policies and laws. No host?! Could not level camper out enough so fridge would work. Vagrants going through campground collecting cans/valuables 24/7. Black water drain backed up.

Look out for poison oak! We were in a campsite with pets and we had to cover several poison oak plants that were in walkways or hangout spaces within our site. Restrooms clogged very easy but were maintained daily. Great location right by the lake. Busy road at all hours of the night by campsites…road leads to day use and is not ever closed down.
