Located off I-8 at exit 156, pick up free map of Imperial Dunes. Helpful staff to answer questions.

Great put stop or dunes recreational area. It would have been best if they provided water bottle filling station and restrooms here.

Nice view, it can be super hot, make sure to wear at least tenis shoes or something more protective. Avoid going between 11am to 6pm because it can be overwhelming hot except during fall-winter. Bring a sledge for sand or a plastic blanket, you will love it using it to slide down those sandy dunes.
