What Guests Are Saying

Sleepy Hollow RV Park offers an excellent location just a 5-minute walk from the border, making it ideal for visitors to Los Algodonas. The park features full hookups, a clean grassy dog park, and a well-stocked convenience store, providing good value at $50 per night. While it lacks some amenities like cable TV and fire pits, the park is clean, quiet, and offers friendly service with 24/7 security.

It will be a great spot if they ever get it finished. The staff was super nice. Price was too high (50/night), considering the park was not finished. I understand things take time, but come on, a couple of hooks in the shower would be nice. They need some gravel, some grass, something besides dirt. A picnic table would be nice too. Oh, one last thing, security knocks on your door at 9 am. to remind you that the checkout is at 10....really do you think you are that busy you must rush us out.
Also, there were a lot of empty newer travel trailers parked there, not sure what that's all about.

This park could be a five star with just a few minor changes.

The staff kept the park extremely neat. We've been on the road nearly full time for the last five years so we've done a lot of camping and my wife feels these were the cleanest restrooms we've seen and I don't doubt it, they were always spotless. Granted the park is largely empty right now but still have to give them credit.

The security is also the best I've seen. Security drives through the park on a very regular basis, they are a very friendly but constant presence. The area didn't seem a bad area but the security patrols made me 100% comfortable that nothing left outside while I was gone was at risk.

They could definitely use a few more trees for some more shading but the biggest area for improvement is they're nightly rate. Their weekly rate of $200 for full hookups is the best I found in the area. However, as this park is a ways outside of Yuma, it seems it's largely a shorter term option for those crossing the border or going to the casino, although Yuma isn't that long a drive, just 15 minutes. The nightly rate is $50, well higher than some of the parks in Yuma who have a few additional services such as laundry and swimming pools. I believe if they lowered their nightly rate to $35, they could draw in a significantly larger number of travelers and end up with more income at this lower rate. Hoping someone from the park reads this and considers changing this.

Office only open M-F 8-5. 24/7 Security. Tall fences with razor wire surround on 3 sides. Steps to Mexican border. Nice dog park. Nice General Store. Huge RV sites. $50 per night FHU. Close to awesome Quechan Casino.

The park was easy to find. It is located just off of I 10 taking the Quechan Casino exit (Rt 186) following the road towards the Mexican Border. There is pavement all the way. Signage is adequate. Access to the park entrance is a fairly sharp turn from the main road. Check in was efficient and friendly. The rules are fairly basic. The interior roads are graveled and in good condition. We used this park because of it’s easy walking access to Los Algodonas.

Our site, 03, was a back in that was just long enough for our Coach and Towed. We were able to make it a pull through as the space behind ours was vacant. Services (30/50 amp, water and sewer only) were to the left side. Distancing is fair for a rural park. NO sites had a vegetation privacy barrier. There was NO table or fire pit. Our site was flat and even. Overall the park was suitable for our purpose but certainly not a resort.

We did not use the park included wifi. There is NO cable TV. We did find a few OTA channels. Satellite would not be difficult. We did not use the washrooms or showers but we checked and found them clean. The dog park is grassed and clean. There is an onsite convenience store that is well stocked.

There are restaurants, shopping and medical opportunities just a short walk across the border into Mexico. The city of Yuma Arizona is just a short drive away you can find food, shopping and convenience stores. We found this park to be perfect for visiting Los Algodonas. We paid $50.00 per night and we feel we received fair value. We will be back if in the area again.

Excellent location. 5 minute walk along a beautiful winding sidewalk to the border. We stayed here for one night with our motorhome because of a dental appointment in Los Algodones . It’s basically a huge parking lot with full hookups, a little store, and a beautiful clean grassy off leash dog park. $50 for the night compared to $35 for overnight parking at the huge parking lot which is right next door that has no hookups was a great value. It was clean and quiet. Easy check in with a very nice young lady at the office. She was very flexible about early check in time to accommodate our dental appointment timing. Thank you. :)
