What Guests Are Saying

Lake Campground is a clean and quiet facility, conveniently located just a short walk from the lake, making it a great spot for camping. Most campers enjoyed their stay, praising the friendly ranger and the overall pleasant atmosphere. However, some sites, particularly number 5, are near the pit toilets and may have unpleasant odors, and the terrain can be uneven at times.

Love this campground.. large enough that you dont feel like you invading other people's campsites but small enough that no matter which side of the campground you are at it's only a small walk to the lake.

Very poor communication. There were fires in southern California during the time, and campfires we're limited in some areas. The reservation department was supposed to send out emails letting visitors know if there were campfire restrictions. They did not. While there, I had a simple duraflame log going as the weather was cold. One of the campground "attendants" came by and without warning or explanation doused out my duraflame fire. Only after doing so did he tell me about the campfire restrictions in effect, saying that I should have gotten an email from reservations about it. Again, I did not. He then proceeded to basically kick me out of the campground citing how cold the temperature would get and I couldn't light a fire. This was an awful experience, especially seeing as how they took my money and didn't return it.

We had a nice time! The campsite was very spacious, but hilly. Very windy in both the afternoons and throughout our first night. Toilets are drop toilets with no sinks for hand washing. There are small water spouts near restrooms but it was unclear what these could be used for. A posted sign read that these not be used for dishwashing, but could potentially be hand washing if you brought your own soap. Great hiking in the area! We hiked Blue Ridge Trail which was 4 mi total with high elevation change, located just a few minutes up to the main road near the Mt. High slopes. There were also a few walking paths near the campsite and lake. The lake was too slimy for swimming but there were a few people on boats and rafts and a hand full of fishermen. It as beautiful to walk around and enjoy from the land. Thank you!!

Clean toilets, close to the lake, easy to get to. Only issue is how close the road the site is.

Too close to the main road. Lots of motorcycles and cars passing through in the morning, hard to sleep in. Nice to have the lake (more like a pond) super close, toilets are well maintained and clean. Had a little issues with bugs flying around but nothing unbearable with enough bug spray.
