Only 4 stars due to a fire restriction but it is what it is. Better to keep the forest safe. This is my go to spot Every time, even in summer. It’s high enough that it’s much cooler. Bathrooms and sites are always well kept and the hosts are great. Definitely check out this campground!

The only thing I could suggest is that I accidentally locked the bathroom door and then no one else could get in. So if they could design a door that you can lock from the inside but you can't lock and then shut it and not be able to get anybody else get in that would be nice.

The place is great, you’ll camp under pine trees over the crest of the mountain. Camping spots are spacious. Water and toilets are available. Also tables, fire rings and grills. If you go on dry season ( Sep - Dec ) make sure you bring electric stoves as no fires of any kind are allowed, ( not even propane) but you will need to check with the ranger first to see what’s allowed. Just be cautious and follow the rules, and you’ll be fine.

Camp was large. Some spots were close but not to cramped. Plenty of places to get water. Camp host very friendly and helpful.

Nice camping area. Friendly camp host/staff. Ample space between other campers. Great view of the city on one side and desert on the other. Definitely coming back.
