Roads and sites need asphalt repair and tree trimming for motorhome clearance. Very poor cell service(Verizon). Camp host (1) is a long up hill hike if you do not have a extra vehicle to be able to contact emergency services. Forest Service does not notify people with reservations of a fire ban prior to your arrival. Also I understand a ban on wood & charcoal fires but don’t on propane BBQs and fire rings.

Awesome campground, but....
I received an alert a few days prior to my stay that the water services were going to be unavailable. Fine, thanks for the heads up, I could come prepared! I triple checked the website before heading out on my 2.5 hour drive to the campground in case I needed to be aware of anything else. Nothing new, just the water is still out. I arrived after it was already dark, no problem. However, it was already only 40F degrees when I first arrived. I pulled out a flashlight, looked arrived, and found a no campfire sign on my campsite number post. Are you kitten me right meow!? You couldn't give me any kind of warning that even tho the weather was going to dip into the 30's overnight, I wasn't going to be able to make a fire???
I'll probably try this place again once it warms up outside...

28 degrees when we arrived, with sun still in the sky, only to learn that all campfires and cookstoves are entirely prohibited UNTIL APRIL. Reservation didn't mention the absurd fire conditions. The Forest Service has taken risk management to insane levels, and camping is becoming harder to do on our public lands. Had a three-night reservation, DID NOT CAMP AT ALL, and couldn't cancel the second and third nights or get a refund for the unused campsite. If you're a camper here, your needs are LAST.

Campsites are nicely spaced out. Plenty of room between sites. Campgrounds routinely patrolled by site management. Pretty forested campground. The $8.00 reservation fee is excessive.

I love Table Mountain Campground! Awesome sites! The Camp hosts were friendly, informative, had firewood at great prices. Maintenance of the grounds and bathrooms are excellent!. I love this camping experience without driving far.

From Wrightwood, California, take State Route 2 west for 2.4 miles to the Table
Mountain Campground sign and continue to follow signs into the campground.
Table Mountain Campground is accessible via State Route 2, approximately 10 miles to the south, which connects to the Angeles Crest Highway. US Highway 395 is about 20 miles to the east.
Elevation: 2236 feet
4.7 mi drive to downtown Wrightwood (about 8 min)

General
- It is advised that transportation remain on-site with your group in case of emergency evacuations.
- Fire restrictions may be enforced due to dry conditions.
- Bears frequent the area; all food must be kept in approved containers.
- First-come, first-served sites may be available.
- A fee will be charged for additional vehicles.
- Be aware that some of our campsites don't have the space to back in a Travel Trailer. A trailer is NOT an RV. Check each campsite details before you arrive.
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect California's forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. For more information visit firewood.ca.gov.
