Table Mountain (Angeles)

Roads and sites need asphalt repair and tree trimming for motorhome clearance. Very poor cell service(Verizon). Camp host (1) is a long up hill hike if you do not have a extra vehicle to be able to contact emergency services. Forest Service does not notify people with reservations of a fire ban prior to your arrival. Also I understand a ban on wood & charcoal fires but don’t on propane BBQs and fire rings.

The host came around and told us that we could not have our propane fire going and when we asked about a gas barbq for the next day we were told that we could not as well. If this was told and enclosed before we would not of stayed. The host was not very nice about things. We went around looking to see if others had fires and barbq and there were several. We left a day early and probably will not be returning. Not a good experience. and Not good customer service.

Well-equipped campground. Clear roads. Great views of the mountains. Gets cold and wet in the late fall or winter. You're camping in the clouds, so it feels like rain. Very windy. Big trees.

The staff at Mountain High and the camp hosts are really nice and helpful. The campsites were well maintained, it's a beautiful setting. I would give this trip a rating of 5 except for the following situation. Beginning at 12:45 the people occupying the two sites opposite us had carloads of friends that started showing. There were 4-5 cars of people that joined each site. The music and conversation was very loud despite our request to lower the volume. We called and spoke to the Mountain High staff multiple times about the increased disturbance and our concern as the partying and noise continued throughout the afternoon and evening. They assured us they'd be back at 10 to make sure it was quiet. Unfortunately, no one made it to shut down the party or request the music be lowered to a tolerable level. We were told that they can't control noise outside the quiet hours which is disappointing. We basically had to put up with a bunch of drunk people acting like they were at a club. The groups finally dispersed at 11:45 pm. Had we confronted this group ourselves, given the amount of alcohol they consumed for hours on end, it could have easily escalated to unsafe levels. It would have been a perfect weekend had the rules been enforced about the number of people and cars on a site and if someone with authority had been available to make these requests. I think campsite leaders and supervisors should not have regulations that tie their hands when it comes to guests disregarding rules and clearly disturbing others.

The views were amazing and the park and restrooms were clean. The only downside was no fires not even propane. We were told not even propane grills. Hard to understand how people in tents would cook there food. Some people were having wood fires at night but they weren’t discovered and some people were cooking outside with propane.
The rule needs to be enforced fairly not just for those with trailers.
Propane fire pits are allowed in most parks with high fire danger. It was cold and boring at night without a fire.

There was no campfire in the middle of October!!!!!!
