Table Mountain (Angeles)

Camp host and mountain high employees were really nice. They sold firewood onsite, and ice/food/beverages were available at mountain high. Vault toilets were clean and there were water spigots. Despite it being a holiday weekend, it wasn’t nearly as loud as the beach campgrounds. My only complaints were that the closest neighbor to me ran their V8 truck engine all day so I smelled exhaust instead of pine trees, and site 23 is really slanted, including the parking pad.

Great camp ground! However, I wish there were more flat/level areas to set up tents. We inspected a number of empty sites near ours and realized most did not have level areas. I’d love to see an investment in leveling off some areas for tents in all the campsites that need it.

Service was great but the spot I had was facing the wrong direction for the one-way loop. The bottom corner of my camper was damaged badly when attempting to exit the spot.

Love this campground. The particular site is awesome as long as there are no strong winds in the North, North north-east direction. It sits on a a sort of ridge and the wind whips by it. There is partial shade. The host is awesome (came by and checked in, discussed wind, and offered help/wood). Restrooms were clean.

The only thing good about the site is the sunset views. Constantly windy. The majority of the site is sloped.

I was very impressed with how clean and well maintained the campground was. The bathrooms had air fresheners and were spotless, like nothing I’ve ever experienced. What a wonderful campground.

This is a wonderful campground! The host is super proactive - each campsite is well tended and ready when you arrive. The restrooms are always tidy, have toilet paper and do not smell offensive.

The campgrounds are beautiful. Camp hosts are very friendly and helpful. Just do your research as to which site you get. Wouldn’t recommend 52 because it’s very sloped so it’s hard to find a flat spot to set up your tent and it’s very close to the bathroom (it smells like sewage) so people will pass through your site constantly.

The campground is a hidden gem! Very close to town but you feel like you’re miles from civilization. The views are spectacular. Camp host was nice and the bathrooms were clean. We will be back! Side note- no showers.

I really like the location of the campground. There are plenty of trees, great views of the Mojave desert and a disc golf course nearby. Wrightwood is only a 10 minute drive away. If and when Highway 2 opens again there is access to plenty of other places in the San Gabriel Mountains, right now you can only go as far as Vincent Gap. The campground hosts were friendly, helpful and were seen daily making the rounds throughout the day keeping the camp clean. The campground during the weekdays are wonderful since there are not that many campers but the weekends are usually full capacity. You'll have plenty of silence during the weekdays with a lot of chatter on the weekends, it's like it's two different campgrounds.
The conditions of the campsites are not always the best, some are better than others. At my own campsite the pad rose significantly at the rear causing the front end of the trailer needing to be raised excessively to level the trailer. I saw many other sites with the same condition. There are also sites where the asphalt has broken away from the pad causing a sudden 2-3 inch drop to the ground. This is a problem for people who are not sure footed. Then there are the campsites that are long enough for a trailer rig but are angled the wrong way to back into.
This campground seems to be one that was developed long ago and has not been updated since then. I love the location but there are changes needed to help the campground become great. Be careful upon entering and exiting the campground, there are some dips and bumps more serious than the speed bumps.
