A good campground with great views near a fun mountain town. Not all of the sites have a bearbox, so you might have to keep food locked in your car. The host also has piles of wood at the front for (I think) around $7 a bundle.
My 9 month old daughter, unfortunately, kept waking up at night, so we had to leave after only 1 day. But, it was 90 degrees during a heat wave so I'm not surprised.
Overall, I really liked the campground, especially site 53, which had a ton of flat open space for tents, and privacy due to the hills and trees.

We were looking for a midsummer, local camping experience high enough to beat the heat in Pasadena. We're only marginally successful in that regard as it was in the nineties one day. But it was not crowded. We enjoyed the loop 3.5 mile loop trail around the perimeter. The campground is beautifully managed and the site was manicured on our arrival. The adjacent disc golf course is fairly expensive but would be a real draw to the right camper.

Clean restrooms, quiet neighbors, beautiful sunrise, and star-filled nights. We will definately be coming back.

We had site 87, which we didn't know was a double site so we paid extra unawares. Small price to pay though for the space and the beautiful view. We were close enough to the pit toilet and water source. Great trees for hammock swinging.
Camp host Doug and Chippy were super attentive and helpful. We enjoyed walking on the trails inside the campground itself as well as the local trails nearby. The closest store was a quick drive away and we had spotty cell service, which was great to totally unplug! We came up during a heat wave and no one else was staying in the entire loop we were in (Cherokee) so we had peace and quiet and no generators or music!
My only word of caution is that it is very buggy. Not necessarily mosquitoes - just lots of flies, bees, and yellow jackets that were constantly swarming around our faces. That part I could have done without but they were here first!

Table Mountain is a great place to get away. We even had the bonus 2:00am thunderstorm this year (an extremely entertaining great thing!) Bathrooms are always kept clean, water faucets in good order, campsites well maintained, and friendly and helpful camp hosts.

From Wrightwood, California, take State Route 2 west for 2.4 miles to the Table
Mountain Campground sign and continue to follow signs into the campground.
Table Mountain Campground is accessible via State Route 2, approximately 10 miles to the south, which connects to the Angeles Crest Highway. US Highway 395 is about 20 miles to the east.
Elevation: 2236 feet
4.7 mi drive to downtown Wrightwood (about 8 min)

General
- It is advised that transportation remain on-site with your group in case of emergency evacuations.
- Fire restrictions may be enforced due to dry conditions.
- Bears frequent the area; all food must be kept in approved containers.
- First-come, first-served sites may be available.
- A fee will be charged for additional vehicles.
- Be aware that some of our campsites don't have the space to back in a Travel Trailer. A trailer is NOT an RV. Check each campsite details before you arrive.
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect California's forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. For more information visit firewood.ca.gov.
