Not all sites have level parking. The campground is the closest to Mariposa Grove and because of that proximity we will stay here again.

I love the Wawona campground, the fact that I booked it 2hrs before our arrival, they are so accommodating and friendly, I love that we almost had it for ourselves especially because it’s weekdays, so quiet at night no time limit you can do whatever you want but be responsible still at all times, and the staffs are great, they’ll give you a map for yosemite valley, what places to visit and all that. Just ask the front desk, they are friendly. ☺️

Camp host was very nice and informative. My site was on the river bank but sites on each side of me were close and slightly cramped. Extremely close to Mariposa Grove and not a bad drive to the valley or Glacier Point. Overall, a nice beautiful experience.

About a 1 Hour drive from the Valley, but a quiet alternative. Very close to Mariposa Grove. Not as uniform campsites as Upper Pines (in Valley).

Our campsite was ok. The bathrooms were nonsense. The stalls seemed to be transferred from an elementary school. They have no locks and they're about 5' high, so anyone can pick from above to see what're doing. Interesting... The faucets only run as long as you keep the handle tilted, so basically, they're useless. And of course, no showers at this campground.

Nice camp ground with flush toilets. Right near a beautiful stream, unfortunately it was very dry dusty and very warm in the afternoon. Our site was close to the road so there was a lot of noise. Recommend getting a site in the back part of the campground. The campground could have been better marked for site numbers sort of confusing

Take Highway 41 north from Fresno, Highway 140 east from Merced, or Highway 120 east from Manteca into Yosemite National Park. Follow signs to Wawona. The campground is located 8 miles north of the South Entrance station on Highway 41, and 27 miles south of Yosemite Valley.

General
- You are responsible for reading the following information and booking a site that will accommodate your equipment.
- If arriving one or more days late, call (209) 375-9535; your reservation will be cancelled if we do not hear from you within 24 hours of your arrival date.
- Bear Habitat! Food and toiletries must be stored in provided food lockers. Absolutely NO food or scented items stored in vehicles. Dispose of garbage immediately in bear-proof dumpsters.
- Potable water at the dump station (located one mile south of the campground) is only available during summer months.
- Resale or auction of advance reservations is prohibited

- Don't Move Firewood: Help protect our forests! Prevent the spread of tree-killing pests by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. Moving firewood is illegal in some states. Visit dontmovefirewood.org to learn more.
