I have loved this campground since I was a kid. Great location, lots of shade, and the bathrooms were always clean. We will always prefer Lottis to any other campground on Taylor Road.

very beautiful, and well kept. cleanest restrooms ever, on odor at all. The camp hosts were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. you could tell they took great care in keeping the campground perfect. I plan to come often. if you like to fish, Taylor Reservoir is just a few minutes away.

We loved this campground! It was very quiet, sites pretty private, shaded, well spaced and very roomy! We were able to fit our pop-up camper, 2 trucks just in the driveway (we had a pull-through site) and had separate elevated space to put up 2 big canopies! I think that pad was about 20X40 at least! The restrooms were the cleanest I've ever seen. Even had a pleasant smell and it was pretty hot! And we did have cell phone service, which was completely unexpected. There is a small store in Taylor park about 10 miles away to get supplies. This one is definitely going on our list of repeat trips!

Camp hosts are always super friendly and helpful. Bathrooms are always very clean. Campground as a whole is always well maintained and well taken care of. I always enjoy my visit here.

We have stayed there several times and always have a good time. New camp hosts were great! Friendly, helpful and not pushy or overbearing. We definitely recommend this campground and will return this fall.

From Gunnison, Colo., travel north on Highway 135 for 10 miles to Almont. At intersection of State Rt. 135 and County Rt. 742, take Rt. 742 for 16.7 miles to campground sign. Turn right into campground.
Lottis Creek Campground is accessible via State Highway 135, which leads north from Gunnison. The campground is located approximately 16.7 miles from the intersection of State Rt. 135 and County Rt. 742.
Elevation: 2767 feet
27 mi drive to downtown Gunnison (about 38 min)
Policies & Rules
General
- Standard Single Family sites: Recreation Use Fee allows ONE camping unit ONLY.
- Late Arrivals: campers are not considered a "no-show" until 24 hours after arrival date check in time. Our policy is that your site will not be released before that.
- FIRST COME FIRST SERVE sites must be booked in person. DO NOT call to determine availability, as they are only available on-site.
- Extra Vehicles: Cannot be paid for in advance - upon arrival coordinate with host for payment and where to park.
- Don't Move Firewood: Prevent the spread of tree-killing organisms by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. For more information visit dontmovefirewood.org.
- If using an Interagency Senior Pass or an Interagency Access pass, holder of this pass must be present with card and a picture ID for the park to honor the discount. The Interagency Annual Pass is not accepted.
