Addressing Miscommunication at Waters Edge Family Campground
I must express my disappointment with my recent stay at Waters Edge Family Campground. Despite carefully reviewing their terms and conditions, which clearly specify an age requirement of 18 for campground usage, our visit was marred by several issues that left us dissatisfied.
Upon arrival, we were greeted with unwelcoming behavior from the staff and found the campground's layout to be cramped, with limited maneuvering space for vehicles.
Furthermore, we were informed on the day of our planned prom night gathering, after booking the campground for a week, that our presence was unwelcome due to concerns about potential parties. While we appreciate the campground's stance against underage drinking, the miscommunication regarding their policies was frustrating.
It's important to note that prior to their call, the only issue communicated to us was the lack of someone aged 21 or older staying at the campground. This discrepancy in communication added to our confusion and dissatisfaction.
The presence of a leaking hose at our site, coupled with unsanitary restroom facilities, further detracted from our experience. We had hoped for a pleasant stay but were met with disappointment.
Following a discussion with campground staff, it was clarified that the minimum age requirement was not the issue, but rather a policy against hosting parties. We are relieved that this matter has been resolved, albeit belatedly.
In the future, we urge the campground to communicate their policies clearly and promptly to avoid similar misunderstandings. Transparency and professionalism are essential for ensuring a positive experience for all guests.
While we appreciate the campground's efforts to rectify the situation, we hope that improvements will be made to prevent similar occurrences in the future. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
