Ranger was amazing park was clean and dispite the horrible weather the previous day the park was still great

The Pines Shelter was clean upon my arrival. Shortly after my arrival the Park Ranger stopped by to say hello and chat about. This Ranger was kind and helpful, letting me know things that were available to us (games provided by the park). The Pines Shelter has four long tables which accommodated approximately 45 family members. Another very enjoyable family picnic at Hop Brook!!

My partner and I got married at the pines shelter & it was so lovely and perfectly shaded for our ceremony. The cost is incredibly reasonable, will book again!

I went to this park due to an invite to my nephew's graduation party, as I live quite a distance away from it.

I was quite impressed with the professionalism of the one staff I had met, but what impressed me the most was the overall condition of the park.

It was clean, as in nothing was out place or in disarray. Both the lake and the mountain surrounding it was definitely a site to behold, as throughout my 3 hour visit I felt like I was back home sitting in my yard across from our local mountain.

It seems like it would be a great place to walk/hike/explore, judging by the number of regular walkers and dog walkers that I had seen there.

Would love to go there again and just walk/hike for awhile. Highly recommend if you just want to experience a rural part of Connecticut surrounded by suburbia.

Artificial lake good for sub-board or canoe. A gravel path, mostly flat, along the lake suitable for a good walk or for running.

I had a great experience from ease of booking the pavilion, to obtaining answers to my questions regarding the site use. The park rangers were kind, helpful, professional and polite.

This park is super big. Is maybe about 10 blocks long! Theres picnic tables and grills everywhere! First time and i had an amazing day! This video is only a little section of it! Beautiful and clean! Very peaceful as well!

The occasion we booked for was a family get-together/remembrance for our loved ones. This location is ideal. We brought food,drinks, etc and the Pavillion was the perfect place, (due to that it did rain a little but there was plenty of room for everyone under the Pavillion until the rain passed.) The younger generations, had so much space to run and play games, such as corn hole, horse shoes, bocci and so much more. We set up one of the tables for coloring and crafts for the young ones. The rest room was not too far from the site. And our goal was achieved. We got to spend a wonderful day with our loved ones from all over including out of state. And the park itself with the surrounding trees is a beautiful setting for enjoying the warmer summer/ almost fall weather.
The park help checked in with us and were super friendly and helpful.
We will be doing this every year at this very convenient, wonderful location.

Great space, clean, helpful and friendly rangers and volunteers made our rental of the ball field an amazing experience.
