Florida River Island

Boondocking at its finest. This place is awesome, very well kept and clean, roads are accessible. Huge sites, nice amenities. It's quiet and plenty of space to have fun. There is a pavilion, fire ring, grill, and a nicely updated bathroom that was very clean. This location is beautiful and offers several roads to check out and drive around see the woods. The camping sites are level for the RV and tent.
We will undoubtedly return to this location.

Very nice place got back to real camping spent 6 nights with them and it was great going back 1 time a month for as long as I can peaceful and serene loved it

Camped 10/8/25 - 10/12/25 boondocking at its finest. RV sites 7-10 were mowed well enough and a crew came out while we were there to mow and maintain the area. Vault toilet was clean enough to use. A wonderful peaceful experience and other lakes and landings in the area to visit. Camel Lake about 15 minutes away which is a great place to visit to boat, fish, and swim.

*the boat ramp can get dangerously slick at times, I would not recommend this boat ramp to anyone with balance issues*
Usually pretty quiet campground ⛺️

Very quiet other than the occasional pickup truck hauling a boat to the boat ramp. Be prepared for lots of flies. I set up a fly catching bag ($5 at Walmart garden section)it worked wonderfully. Only wildlife I observed was a raccoon digging through the garbage can at the entrance to the campground. There are a few spots for a van, SUV, car or small RV. The tent only sites have a cover over the picnic table.
There is also a day use area with a boat ramp and a Pavillion. There are a few more tent only sites in the day use area as well as a pit toilet. I didn't use it so I can't comment on the cleanliness.
