Roland Martin Marina & Resort

I can't say enough good things about Roland Martin Marina. The grounds were clean, well kept and laid out well. They have a nicely stocked gift shop, a nice marine center/tackle shop, a wash house where you can do laundry, multiple options for rooms/units to stay in, and great food options. Every staff member i had the pleasure of interacting with, was polite, smiled as they talked and was more helpful than you could expect. We stayed in a Park Model unit, and it was very clean, comfortable and the price was extremely affordable. It also appeared to be newly updated. We also rented one of the Stratos bass boats for 2 days. The boat was clean, ran well, and the trolling motor battery lasted us all day. They also have breakfast at the back end of their gift shop, and lunch/dinner at their Tiki Bar. The food was really good, and came out quick! Roland's daughter runs the place and we had the pleasure of speaking with her on a few occasions. She was so super nice to us and made us feel right at home. She is a perfect example of how genuine and kind the entire Martin family is. If you plan on visiting Clewiston or fishing Okeechobee, a stay at Roland Martin Marina should be your first choice!

This past weekend was truly a trip of a lifetime at Roland Martin Marina & Resort. I went with one of my closest friends and my 9 year old son, and from the moment we stepped on the boat, Capt Kevin Long made us feel like family.

What stood out the most was how attentive he was to my son. He took the time to teach him, encourage him, and make sure he was involved in every part of the experience. He treated him like one of his own, and as a dad, that meant everything to me. Watching my son light up every time he set the hook is a memory I will never forget.

And the fishing was absolutely incredible. Capt Kevin put us on over a dozen quality bass, including a massive 7 lb bass that my son landed. That fish alone made the trip unforgettable, but the steady action all day long showed just how knowledgeable and dialed in he is on the water.

Roland Martin Marina & Resort delivered an outstanding overall experience, but I can honestly say I would come back again just to fish with Capt Kevin. If you are looking for an unforgettable day on the water, especially with family, this is the place and he is the guide to book.

I travel from Fort Myers, Florida to Roland Martin Marina in Clewiston, Florida to fish with their guides in Lake Okeechobee many times during the year. I have fished with Terry Garrels back in the day before he retired and he was an amazing guide who always knew where the fish were. You caught a lot of bass with him!

After Terry retired he referred to fish with guide Steve Lake and he was incredibly talented as well. Great attitude and very knowledgeable! I fished consistently with Steve for many great years until he recently made the decision to step away from the game.

I just started fishing with guide Bo White and I’m happy to report that he’s fantastic! He knows where the bass are biting at all times! Very customer oriented, great spiritual attitude and just an all-around nice person to fish with. Book a trip with Bo and you’ll take a lot of fish pictures with him! Highly recommended!

By the way, don’t forget to stop at the Tiki Bar after you fish with Bo and enjoy the Bubba Burger: the best darn cheeseburger in Clewiston FL! Cheers!

What a great location. I've been coming here since I was a kid and I'll never stop fishing out of Roland Martin. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Boat ramps are so close you could throw a rock and hit them. The tiki bar... Excellent food and drinks. Live bands on certain nights. All-in-all I highly recommend you come out and bring the family. Fish on!

We stayed in the hotel room that had a kitchen. Very large rooms & clean!
