Camp sites were well equipped with picnic table, fire ring with grill grate, bbq grill, and bear proof box for storage. Restroom facilities were very clean with clean showers and a room to wash dishes. Huge picnic area for day trips to swim in the spring. Lots of trails nearby for hiking in the Ocala National Forest.

Love this campground! However, the bathroom by our site (62) needs some work. The shower heads are just nozzles with one stream of water. It was very cold and the ceiling fans were also going right over the showers. The campground itself is very clean, with lots of space between sites. However, it is expensive, and I know that is due to the full hookup at each site. Our site 62 is missing part of the sewer hookup so it was just basically sitting in the pipe, like when you're at a dump station. Not a big deal as we kept the blackwater closed so we weren't bombarded with foul odor, but hope they fix it. And, the showers!

"I found the camping area to be very clean and well-maintained. Although there wasn't much privacy from my RV neighbors, everyone was respectful and followed the park rules. The Springs were beautiful and I highly recommend visiting the park during the summer season. All of the sites were about the same size, paved, and the RV area roads were also paved." Several camp hosts in the park.

Salt Springs has got to have the cleanest bathrooms for any park that I have ever stayed at. There is a lot to do at the park between swimming and fishing and hiking. Overall salt Springs is one of my favorite places to stay.

More expensive than most NF campgrounds, and quite a bit more crowded. But still a nice place with lots to do right around the park or the local area
