Rooterville Animal Sanctuary

My boyfriend and I had the best stay at Rooterville. There are only 2 wagons on the property, which made it such a peaceful and quiet environment. Elaine, the owner, and the rest of the staff were so kind and welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. There are so many adorable animals freely wandering around the property and we were free to interact with them and feed them apple slices we brought. The cow cuddle experience was also so lovely as we got to meet Jett and 3 other young cows. The wagon itself was so cute, very clean, and had a nice bathroom, shower, and AC. There is also a firepit with each wagon and you can buy firewood on the property. I would highly recommend Rooterville for any animal lover looking for a unique, tranquil getaway.

Such a great place! We stayed in the very clean, well maintained and comfortable wagon. The animals were very sweet. We enjoyed watching them wonder the farm, allowing us to roam with them and pet them. The next morning we were able to cuddle the cows! The staff was great, answered any questions and Elaine was so sweet. Thank you for making my birthday special!

An unforgettable experience!
We loved our stay in the covered wagon at Rooterville! It was incredibly comfortable, featuring a cozy bed, great AC, a Keurig, toaster, microwave, and a surprisingly large mini-fridge.
The best part of the trip was definitely the animals. Watching them roam the farm for breakfast was so peaceful, and our cow cuddle session with Jett and the heifers completely stole our hearts! They are the sweetest! Elaine was an amazing host who made us feel right at home. Highly recommend staying here!

There is something magical about this place. Staying on property in one of the wagons was one of the most peaceful experiences of my life. The animals are well cared for and love interacting with people. I would suggest to anyone looking for a special weekend or get away that is a real Florida experience look no further. I will definitely be coming back to stay. Elaine is amazing and really cares about her animals and is a great host. Make sure to bring plenty of carrots and bananas for the animals!

Absolutely wonderful experience. I booked a Highland cow cuddle session as a birthday gift for my girlfriend, and it turned out to be such a touching and special afternoon. The cows are incredibly gentle and sweet, and they genuinely let you love on them as much as you want — which is a real treat, since these aren't animals you get to be around in person very often. Getting to know them up close and personal like that was something we won't forget.
Elaine, who runs the sanctuary, was so kind and welcoming, and happily answered all our questions about Rooterville and the animals themselves. The rest of the sanctuary was full of adorable creatures, too. They've just taken in a baby mini donkey, and he might be one of the cutest animals I've ever seen — I may have to come back just to check on him!
