Wild Frontier RV Resort

My wife and I are were attending a conference in Ocala. We had an odd schedule for arriving and departing. They were kind and accommodating. The space we has was a nice pull through. I liked the gated community feel. It was quiet and relaxing.

My husband and I were in town for a conference. He arrived with the camper and was allowed to check in early. That was a huge blessing. And it was so quiet.

It was our first time to stay a full month anywhere and the time flew by! They have daily activities that we participated in and got to know some really great people! When you arrive, make sure to get on their Facebook activity page so you don't miss impromptu food trucks and other activities not on the calendar! They do have permanent residents, but the park is kept tidy so it's not riff raff. The pool is small, but heated. The clubhouse, bathrooms, and laundry are well kept. The laundry needs more magnets that hold the 'Dryer in Use' signs they provide. If someone opens your dryer, it doesn't automatically restart and your clothes won't be dry! I thought the machine was broke and changed it to another dryer. LSS: it ended up costing me almost $10 to dry one load because people kept opening my dryer, so keep an eye on this! The park is gated and we felt safe. Both Walmart and Kroger deliver there, a plus for last minute groceries. The staff and volunteers are super nice, and you can receive your mail or packages there with no problem. They have daily trash pick up and will also pick up your propane cannisters to refill for you! Propane is onsite if you're in a motorhome. My only con was my Watchdog showed almost 100 kwh less than their meter. Not sure what happened there, but just something to take note of. Overall, our stay was great and we wish we would've stayed longer! Thanks guys!!

This is a wonderful campground. Great spots, bathrooms and showers are clean and staff is awesome. They have a pool and laundry room. The dog park is big and spacious. There is just a little traffic noise here in the spots next to the dog park, but it gets quiet after dark. I hope to come here every time I visit Ocala!

I spent two months at this location and had a great experience. Kim in the office was especially wonderful to deal with — always friendly, responsive, and easy to communicate with. The park has brand new plumbing run to each site, which was a huge improvement and made the stay very comfortable. Anytime I needed anything, the maintenance team was quick, helpful, and professional.

Overall, I’d absolutely recommend this park for an extended stay.
