Ocklawaha Prairie Restoration Area Hike-In SJRWMD

We totally enjoyed our hike. The area is beautiful and rich with gorgeous trees, nice paths and wildlife. We walked our dogs and had a nice picnic lunch! Very clean and safe environment.

Great Park, It’s very beautiful and the trail is gravel so is safe!

Diverse and expansive trail area with lots of parking but is not very busy. Has river, wetlands, forest, and prairie areas; horseback riders come through; there are camping spots. It's really a hidden gem.

From the parking area I was thinking I chose poorly. In fact not till I got to the bridge. Then I fell in love !! Crossing over the bridge changed the hike completely. Wide open spaces giving you beautiful views. The trail was well maintained throughout most of it. Didn't see a lot of wild things but that's ok. Timing is everything.

Great hike. The Levee Loop is about 13 miles of flat terrain. In parts it is a bit soft and sandy, but was well drained after rain the previous day. It would be a great bike trail as well.

A good amount of wildlife including 2 gators, lots of bits, and a cute little garden snake.
