We enjoyed the best water conditions and beach experience in years! Although the bathhouse in Loop A was out of service for a couple of days for "re-tile," it is much improved and appreciated. The Blue Angels are the best and much enjoyed from the Fort. Thank you for maintaining the nature/bike trails. Our host was friendly and promoted a relaxing environment. Fort Pickens will definitely remain on our to-do list!

The campground was well-maintained and had nice facilities, but the campground spaces were way too close together to enjoy the space. We had multiple groups with tents less than 10 ft from us. Quiet hours weren’t respected and it was very hard to fall asleep with all the noise. My husband and I jokingly ended up playing ocean wave white noise on my phone to help drown out the sounds of everyone around us.
It was nice to be so close to the beach, but I wouldn’t recommend this campground if you’re looking for an experience that feels like you’re truly in nature.

The shower/restroom renovations were very timely (they had been let go far too long) and very nicely done. Loop A is well managed by what appears to be a very competent on-site host team. The only suggestion I would have is in-between guests, a quick clean of the pads and a quick rake of the site would be a nice touch. Also, the Loop A boardwalk to the beach still has a few repairs that should be tended to. All in all, I had a fabulous week-long stay!

Fantastic beach access within 1/2 walk from our site. Camp sites are tight but very well cared for. Camp store was essentially non existent, maybe late in the season for late September. We tented with battery system in D loop.
